Planning appeal decision
52 Carlton Hill Brighton BN2 0DA
Increase of height of boundary walls to part of east facing elevation and north facing elevation. This is necessitated by safety issues related to gangs of youths climbing from the council owned planter at the North West corner onto the roof and from there onto the main building roofs causing damage and distress to the occupants as well as putting themselves at serious risk of injury. The relevant height has been increased from 1600mm to 2520mm and has been sufficient to prevent further incursions. It is proposed to improve the visual appearance of the walls by applying a smooth render in the areas identified on the layout drawing. As this area is prone to graffiti this can then be easily overpainted as necessary
