The search
Search every word of every letter
More than 161,000 decision letters, searchable in full. Ask in plain terms or exact phrases, and the results rank by where the Inspector's reasoning matches, with the matching passage highlighted and the letter itself one tap away.
Narrow it by issue, NPPF paragraph, use class, authority, year, the tilted balance or housing land supply. And the search is honest about breadth: a term too common to rank meaningfully falls back to newest first and says so, rather than pretending an order it cannot justify.

Search an issue and the appeals arrive; but which authority governs the point? The standard planning cases, from Wheatcroft on amendments to Finney on section 73, each stated plainly, each linked to the judgment, and each counted live across the decision letters, so you can see what Inspectors are applying this month and what has gone quiet.
Currency you can see
A principle is only as good as its standing. Every case shows how often the corpus engages it, how often in the last 90 days, and the date it was last applied. An authority Inspectors have stopped citing shows you that, in numbers, before you build an argument on it.
