What’s new

What changed, and when

One entry per version, in plain words. The version in the app’s footer is the newest here, 1.0.2. Fixes raise the last number; new features raise the middle one.

  1. The deadline briefing reads properly on a phone

    v1.0.2 · 6 October 2026
    • On an iPhone the briefing rows showed one word of the site name. The site name now takes two lines, the label on the left reads App, Appeal, Pre-app or Cond, and the countdown reads 11d over rather than 11 days overdue. Desktop and iPad are unchanged.
    • A What’s new page, this one, with the version shown in the app footer and in Settings.
  2. Launch-day fixes

    v1.0.1 · 5 October 2026
    • Your company logo now saves itself the moment you choose it in Settings, and follows you to your other devices. Before, it had to be saved from a button further down the page and was easy to lose.
    • Five short help guides: installing the app, running a site appraisal, adding the planning history, searching the appeal record, and your name and logo on every report. Linked from Settings and at townplannerpro.co.uk/help.
    • On the free decision pages, the link for members now reads “Already a member? Open it in the app” and lands on that appeal after sign-in.
    • The home page describes the product as the information a planner needs, not everything a planner needs.
  3. Town Planner Pro opens

    v1.0.0 · 5 October 2026
    • Site appraisals: draw the red line and the constraints, the development plan in force, the transport tests and every appeal decided around the site follow, with a PDF carrying your name and logo.
    • Casework: applications, appeals, pre-apps and conditions with their statutory dates, a deadline briefing, and documents read into the record.
    • Appeal Intelligence: every English appeal decision since 2016, the Inspector’s letter read in full wherever one was published, searchable by words or by meaning.
    • Policy and plans: the National Planning Policy Framework of 17 August 2026 and the plan position for every English authority.
    • One computer, one phone and one tablet in use at a time; a second device of the same type takes the account over and the first is signed out.
    • Terms updated on 4 October: anything copied from the service into a report credits Town Planner Pro.
