What decided it
The very significant weight given to the production and storage of renewable energy, together with significant biodiversity benefits, was found to outweigh the identified landscape, heritage and agricultural land harms and the resulting conflict with the development plan.
The very significant benefits of renewable energy production and storage, significant biodiversity net gain, and moderate economic benefits outweighed the moderate (initially major) adverse landscape and visual harm, the limited harm to a non-designated heritage asset, and the limited harm from loss of BMV land, and were sufficient to outweigh the conflict with the development plan.
