What decided it
The proposal would inevitably result in a visually dominant and imposing form of development that would materially harm the outlook and light of residents at Aldermore and Oakmore due to the site's elevated position and proximity to these properties, and this significant harm substantially outweighed the limited benefits of the scheme.
The adverse impacts of the proposed development, particularly significant and long-lasting harm to the living conditions of nearby residents regarding outlook and light, significantly and demonstrably outweighed the benefits of housing delivery, use of previously developed land, and biodiversity gain, such that the presumption in favour of sustainable development did not apply.
