What decided it

The proposed chalet bungalow could be successfully integrated into the streetscene without causing harm to character and appearance, and the tilted balance under paragraph 11 of the NPPF favoured the proposal given the Council's housing delivery shortfall.

The modest social and economic benefits of a single dwelling in a sustainable urban location, combined with acceptable environmental integration and no harm to character and appearance, outweighed any adverse impacts when assessed against the Framework as a whole under the tilted balance
