What decided it

The site's location within the domestic curtilage of existing development and its function as infill between established built form, rather than as part of open countryside, meant the adverse impacts on the AONB's character and appearance would be limited and the development would be appropriate.

The limited adverse impacts on character and appearance and the AONB were outweighed by the appropriateness of infill development within an established settlement cluster and the adequacy of mitigation for the SPA.
