What decided it

The proposed LED displays would result in unacceptable harm to the amenity of the area and the setting of the Scheduled Ancient Monument, conflicting with Policy LP10 of the Gosport Borough Local Plan, and any economic or social benefits would not outweigh this harm.

The economic and social benefits to local businesses, tourist attractions and events, and the flexibility offered by LED display technology, were outweighed by the harm to the amenity of the area and the setting of the Scheduled Ancient Monument.
