What decided it
The proposed tight, uniform layout of two dwellings would introduce a hard urban edge and erode the soft landscape setting of this transition site between settlement and countryside, conflicting with the established spacious edge-of-settlement character, and the doubled vehicular movements would cause significant adverse noise and disturbance to neighbouring occupiers.
The modest housing supply benefits were insufficient to outweigh the conflict with the development plan arising from adverse effects on character and appearance and living conditions of neighbours.
