The proposed siting of the dung storage barn in close proximity to the neighbouring dwelling Coombe View would result in unacceptable impacts to neighbour living conditions through odour and potential fly infestation, and the appellant failed to demonstrate that no alternative siting was available.

The environmental benefits of covering the dung store to prevent water contamination did not outweigh the inappropriate siting relative to the neighbouring dwelling and the resulting unacceptable impact on neighbour living conditions
