What decided it
The harmful effect on the character and appearance of the surroundings, caused by the footprint and scale of the proposed building being incongruous with the spacious suburban character of Bonar Place, outweighed the benefits of housing delivery.
The benefits of delivering three dwellings and supporting the Government's objective of boosting housing supply were given some weight, but did not outweigh the harm to character and appearance given the Framework's emphasis on creating high quality, beautiful buildings and places.
