The potential public benefits arising from next generation 5G coverage and improved communications infrastructure outweighed the minor harm to the character and appearance of the locality.

The minor harm to character and appearance caused by the mast, particularly the risk of both old and new masts remaining in tandem, was outweighed by the public benefits of 5G coverage, improved connectivity, economic and social benefits, and support for homeworking.
