What decided it

The retention of a 2.9 metre gap at first floor level between the host property and the adjoining non-attached property, considered adequate in the context of the original linked block design and the pattern of gaps characteristic of the street scene, meant the proposal complied with the adopted SPD and would not harm character and appearance.
