What decided it
The eastern gable window's prominence as the first sight of the Hall when entering the village from the east, combined with the availability of secondary glazing as an alternative, meant the harm from replacement windows would not be outweighed by public benefit, whereas the front, rear and kitchen elevations had sufficient public benefits to justify the harm.
