Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the proposal on the amenity of the opposite semi-detached dwellings: Ivydene and Meltona
What decided it
The south-facing advertisement display would cause unacceptable harm to the living conditions of the opposite dwellings through the disturbing effect of the changing digital display, which could not be adequately mitigated by conditions.
The economic importance of advertisement displays was outweighed by the harm to the living conditions of the dwellings in respect of the south-facing display, but the north-facing display was acceptable as it caused no such harm.
