Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the proposed development on the provision of family housing
What decided it
The proposed development would replace a single family-sized dwelling with three units containing no family-sized accommodation, thereby conflicting with Policies CP21 and DMP17 which seek to maintain the supply of family-sized housing and ensure a balanced housing stock in the borough.
The modest contribution to housing supply from the net increase of two dwellings was outweighed by the adverse effect on the provision of family housing and conflict with the development plan.
