Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- The effect of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the Nutley Avenue street scene
What decided it
The very limited width of the proposed dwelling and its modest height would create a jarring and incongruous appearance in the street scene that would be harmfully out of keeping with its neighbours, outweighing the benefit of housing supply contribution.
The shortfall in housing supply was a benefit but was far outweighed by the incongruous nature of the development and the harm caused to the character and appearance of Nutley Avenue.
