What decided it

The poor design and detailing of the side and rear extensions, particularly the incongruous hip roof, cedral cladding, and inconsistent eaves and roof pitch levels, would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the original dwelling and Mill Road frontage in conflict with NPPF paragraphs 130 and 134 and local plan policies.
