What decided it

The proposal would not provide a safe and suitable access for all users, particularly due to the inability to complete the left turn safely and the lack of visibility at the junction, which would create unacceptable collision risks for vehicles and pedestrians.

The substantial benefits of delivering 11 dwellings on brownfield land with good access to services and public transport were outweighed by the significant harm to highway and pedestrian safety and the lack of a safe and suitable access.
