The proposed driveway's visually unobtrusive design using permeable sub-structure with grass surface, combined with its neutral landscape effect and preservation of the AONB's characteristic pattern of small fields, hedgerows and historic routeways, meant it would conserve rather than harm the natural beauty of the High Weald AONB.
