The extension would significantly increase the width and mass of the property with a horizontal emphasis that would radically alter its appearance and be inconsistent with the modest, linear form of the host property and wider terrace, thereby harming the character and appearance of the property and failing to conserve or enhance the Quantock Hills AONB.
