What decided it

The orangery's suburban appearance, extensive glazing, and incongruous roofline would be clearly visible from the road and would detract from the simple appearance and heritage significance of the 18th/19th century element of the listed building, whereas the kitchen extension and porch would be appropriately sited and detailed to conserve the building's character.
