The significant and harmful changes to the character and appearance of the area caused by the engineered access track and necessary visibility splays, which would substantially alter and diminish the distinctive traditional Cornish hedgerow and introduce suburban features that would detract from the natural beauty of the AONB, outweigh the economic and safety benefits of the scheme.
