The existing lawful fallback use of the site for unrestricted storage of building materials and caravans, against which the proposed holiday lodge scheme was found to represent an improvement in every main issue.

The benefits of the proposal compared to the lawful fallback storage use outweighed any conflict with countryside policy, resulting in no overall conflict with the development plan and the appeal being allowed.
