What decided it

The proposal was found not to cause material harm to character and appearance and, subject to S106-secured SANG/SAMM mitigation, would not adversely affect the integrity of the Ashdown Forest European Site.

Having found no material harm on either main issue and that the scheme accorded with the development plan, with substantial weight given to the delivery of affordable housing in a district with an acute shortfall, the Inspector concluded the appeal should succeed.
