What decided it

The substantial scale of the garage, its location over 30 metres away in the middle of the wooded area, and its visual detachment from the main dwelling would significantly harm the character and appearance of the site and its surroundings, contrary to Core Policy 37 and the Joint Design Guide, with particular weight given to the AONB location.
