What decided it

The fallback position of the previously approved scheme with identical footprint and materials, combined with the lowered eaves of the pitched roof design reducing visual impact compared to the approved flat roof scheme, meant the proposal would not cause unacceptable harm to character, appearance or neighbouring living conditions.
