What decided it
The extreme proximity of the site to the cliff edge and the rapid rate of coastal erosion (up to 11 metres per year) made the site inherently unsuitable and unsafe for residential use, even temporarily, and this safety concern outweighed the personal circumstances of the residents and the Council's inability to meet identified gypsy and traveller accommodation needs.
