Main issues, as the Inspector framed them

  • The effect of the siting and appearance of the proposed installation on the character and appearance of the area, and if any harm is identified whether that harm would be outweighed by the need to site the installation in the location proposed

What decided it

The appellant failed to demonstrate that suitable alternative sites with less harmful siting and appearance had been properly explored, and the harm to character and appearance was not outweighed by the need for the installation.
