What decided it

The proposed ridge height increase would appear as an incongruous addition to the uniform roofscape of the semi-detached pair and would fail to comply with the Council's Roof Extensions Design Guide and local plan policies requiring sympathetic design, and this harm to character and appearance cannot be outweighed by the objective of sustainable use of housing land.
