What decided it

The proposed design, with its extensive green oak cladding and elaborate roof form, would fundamentally alter the simple historic character of the barn, disrupting the legible historic relationship between the subordinate barn and the main farmhouse, thereby causing unjustified harm to the significance of the listed building and conservation area that cannot be outweighed by the limited public benefits identified.
