What decided it

The generous width of the pavement, the siting of the FSU CIP in the footway buildout away from the main pedestrian desire line and over 12 metres from the disabled access ramp, combined with the presence of existing street furniture in the vicinity, means the proposal would not adversely affect public safety or the free passage of pedestrians with disabilities and visual impairments.
