What decided it
The inadequate internal space standards, light and outlook in the three-bedroom unit, particularly the impractical dog-leg shaped bedroom and the bedroom with only rooflight provision, would harm the living conditions of future occupiers in breach of Policy DE3, and this harm significantly and demonstrably outweighed the housing supply benefits.
The benefits of removing a 9-bed HMO and providing two family-sized dwellings in a sustainable location with contribution to housing supply (considerable weight) were significantly and demonstrably outweighed by the harm to living conditions of future occupiers caused by inadequate space standards, light and outlook in the three-bedroom unit.
