What decided it

The proposal would not be inconsistent with the character and appearance of the area and would provide an acceptable standard of privacy and amenity for occupiers, thereby according with the development plan.

The benefits of providing a dwelling in a location where the principle of development is acceptable, combined with the absence of significant harm to character or living conditions, outweighed any concerns raised by the Council.
