What decided it
The loss of the only accessible public house serving the community of Stone-in-Oxney, which had not been demonstrated to be unviable as the property was not marketed to its full potential, outweighed the benefits of two additional dwellings despite the Council's insufficient housing land supply.
The adverse impacts of losing a community facility significantly and demonstrably outweighed the benefits of two windfall housing units and the support for brownfield development within settlements, such that the presumption in favour of sustainable development did not apply.
