The excessive width of the first floor extension and its positioning on the boundary with the neighbouring property would cause significant harm to the character and appearance of the dwelling and terrace, and would result in significant loss of light and oppressive enclosure to neighbouring occupiers, which outweighs the private benefit of additional living space.
