What decided it

The proposed glass balustrade would contrast harmfully with the retained traditional verandah and have an uncomfortable relationship with the historic fabric and classical detailing of the dwelling, and the removal of the sun room without clear justification would obscure understanding of the building's architectural phasing, together failing to preserve the listed building's special interest.
