What decided it
The site's unsustainable location in open countryside, distant from daily services and facilities with poor walking and cycling infrastructure, makes it unsuitable for unrestricted residential use and would harm the tourism offer, contrary to the development plan taken as a whole.
The benefits of housing delivery, economic benefits, jobs and support for schools were significantly and demonstrably outweighed by the adverse impacts of unsustainable location, car dependence, and harm to tourism.
