What decided it

The proposal would not harm the significance of the non-designated heritage asset or the character of the area, and would satisfy Policy 7 criteria for countryside housing whilst delivering a housing benefit in a district without five-year supply.

The housing benefit of one additional dwelling in a district unable to demonstrate five-year housing land supply was weighed against the character and heritage considerations, with the proposal found to accord with development plan policies and cause no harmful effect on character or appearance.
