What decided it
The careful design of the proposal, which respects the site-specific circumstances and preserves both the character of the streetscene and the setting of the adjacent listed building, whilst providing much-needed residential development.
The benefits of providing two new residential units and improving the streetscene through replacing incongruous single-storey buildings with well-designed two-storey residential development outweighed any concerns about the staggered building line, with no harm to character, appearance or heritage significance.
