What decided it

The demonstration that safe and suitable access can be achieved with visibility splays exceeding the required distances, combined with the County Highways Authority's non-objection to the proposal, resolved the main issue of highway safety.

The benefits of housing supply and alignment with sustainable development objectives, combined with compliance with the development plan, outweighed the concerns raised by local residents regarding traffic generation and highway capacity, which the Inspector found to be adequately addressed by conditions.
