What decided it

The marked detriment to the rural character and appearance of Mill Lane and Wavendon Road caused by external storage of plant and equipment, which was not outweighed by the economic benefits of the development.

The economic benefits of providing employment and supporting an established construction business were outweighed by the harm to the character and appearance of the area, which was contrary to the development plan policies when considered as a whole.
