What decided it

The economic and social benefits of the telecommunications infrastructure, supported by national policy requiring support for electronic communications networks, outweighed the limited harm to landscape character and heritage setting, particularly given that alternative sites had been appropriately considered and rejected.

The limited harm to the setting of nearby listed buildings and harm to landscape character and visual amenities was outweighed by the economic and social benefits of the proposal and the need to site the installation in the proposed location to prevent loss of service.
