Main issues, as the Inspector framed them
- the effect of the development upon the character and appearance of the surrounding area
- the suitability of the site as a location for a residential development
What decided it
The adverse effect upon the character and appearance of the surrounding area, resulting from increased built form and loss of the gap between existing dwellings, outweighed the material consideration of the existing caravan use.
The material considerations regarding the existing use of the site as a location for a dwelling were outweighed by the adverse effect upon the character and appearance of the surrounding area.
