What decided it

The proposed conservatory would reduce private amenity space to significantly below the 70 square metre minimum requirement, resulting in a poor quality living environment that would be harmful to the living conditions of existing and future occupiers.

The benefits of providing additional internal accommodation did not outweigh the harm to living conditions caused by the loss of private amenity space below the policy minimum.
