What decided it
The proposal would result in additional dwellings significantly exceeding the soft limit of 15 set out in the development plan for the settlement, thereby undermining the Council's plan-led approach to housing delivery, and this conflict with the development plan outweighed the moderate benefits of three new dwellings and limited economic uplift.
The moderate weight given to the benefits of three new dwellings and small-scale economic and social benefits was outweighed by the significant weight given to the conflict with the development plan arising from the location in an area which had already surpassed the level of residential development considered acceptable.
