The size and scale of the proposed outbuilding relative to the main dwellinghouse determined whether the use would be incidental and subordinate: Appeal A's 61.34m² building was disproportionately large and failed the test, while Appeal B's 41m² building remained subordinate to the main dwelling and satisfied the permitted development criteria.
