What decided it
The small scale of the development generating only one additional vehicle movement and the existing use of the access by multiple dwellings meant the marginal increase in traffic and noise would not result in unacceptable effects on highway safety or neighbouring living conditions.
The benefits of providing holiday accommodation were balanced against the concerns raised regarding highway safety, living conditions and heritage impact, with the Inspector concluding that the small scale of the development and the marginal nature of the additional impacts meant the proposal was acceptable.
