What decided it

The plain white rendered finish, while causing slight harm through loss of original details, represents an overall very slight enhancement to the conservation area when balanced against the improved appearance compared to the previous roughcasting and consistency with other rendered properties in the area.

The slight harm caused by loss of original architectural features was outweighed by the improvement in appearance from the new rendered finish, resulting in a very slight net enhancement to the conservation area.
