What decided it

The presence of existing mansard roof extensions at nearby properties (Nos 184, 186, 172, and 222 Millfields Road) that have been successfully assimilated into the street scene, combined with the irregularities in the terrace's parapet line and the proposed recess behind the front elevation, demonstrated that a sensitive roof extension would be acceptable and consistent with established local character.
